Not much to say for today’s run. Pretty straightforward, pleased with the pace. 4 miles is easyyyyyy.
Edit: Oops, I’m an idiot. I used the heart rate monitor that came with my watch for the first time today. Took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to get it set up. My average HR was 170 bpm, max was 178.
I’m not really sure what I should be looking for when/if I use the HRM. I can say that when I started running (about a year ago), I’d go much slower—roughly 10 or 11 minute miles—and my HR, according to the treadmill I’d be on, was almost always about 198-200. So there’s definitely improvement, but I’m not sure what else I should look for going into the future, or how I should make use of the HRM.
