Run a Marathon by Sept. 9
When you start running, you get to eat as much as you want, right?

Only two intervals where I didn’t reach 9mph (6:40 pace)! #15 and #30… Still happy with their times though!
Interval runs are hard.
Sent this to my Garmin earlier. I’m gonna see how it goes later tonight. 9mph seems kinda high…

So I decided to do this today on a whim…

My goal for my first half marathon had always been “under two hours.” Check out my time. ;-) (Although on my watch it read 1:59:59!)
My first official half marathon is a week from today! Otherwise, looking forward to some easier (read: shorter) runs this week.

Haven’t updated this in a while, been pretty busy with school work!
I took it real easy this week in preparation for the 15k today at Newnan’s Lake. I did 3 miles on Tuesday and 3.5 miles on Thursday. I read that it’s good to reduce mileage before a long race, and it’s so true! The race today went really well!

I’m REALLY happy with my 9:17 pace! I was shooting for 10:00, but I just couldn’t seem to get down to that slow.
Now, I really think I ran closer to 9:05, but miles 6-9.2 were slowed down because…
*TMI WARNING*
I HAD TO POOP SO FUCKING BAD.
It basically ruined the whole race! I was in so much pain and really thought I was going to shit myself! I was actually looking left and right for places in the woods I could go, I’m not lying. I had to walk for about half a mile (from 8 to 8.5) because I just couldn’t take the up and down bouncing motion anymore! Lesson learned, that’s for sure.
ANYWAY, besides that whole issue, my running went great, as I said. Didn’t feel a thing in my legs, kind of wondering if I should have run even faster. Oh well, I’m happy either way with that time!
Did my ELEVEN mile run earlier today. This is the farthest I’ve ever run!

Thank fucking god the rest of the week is only 3 and 4 mile runs (never thought I’d say that).
15k (9.2 miles) race on Saturday!!
